How an Ontario booking differs from a US one

Ontario quotes are stated in Canadian dollars with 13% HST itemized on its own line, separate from the base charge and the gratuity, so the total you compare is the total you pay. The drinking age is 19, and whether anything may be opened on board depends on provincial liquor law and our written on-board policy for the vehicle, which is stricter than many US groups expect; ask for it before the group plans the evening around it.

The province regulates passenger carriers through the Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration, and our CVOR details go on the written agreement so you can check them with Ontario yourself. Border crossings at Windsor–Detroit are routine for us, but every passenger needs documentation for both directions and the crossing time is built into the billable hours.

Toronto and Windsor are two different markets

They sit about 370 kilometres apart on the 401, and we do not price one from the other. Toronto work is dense: Pearson and Billy Bishop airport runs, downtown venues with tight loading rules, and the King West, Entertainment District and Distillery District nightlife clusters where the vehicle’s stopping point has to be agreed with the venue. Windsor work is shaped by Detroit: cross-border game nights, casino evenings and wedding shuttles that run the tunnel or the bridge, with the customs wait sitting inside the schedule.

Windsor is also one of our established markets, with enough booking history to publish figures for it on its own page. Toronto has a smaller record, so its page shows provincial and network-wide figures, each labelled with its real geography.

When Ontario dates get tight

Prom and formal season from late April through June, wedding Saturdays from June to early October, and the long weekends around Canada Day and Labour Day are the dates where the popular sizes go first. Winter runs need cold-weather planning: longer warm-up, slower loading, and routes that avoid lake-effect snow belts where the schedule allows. Send a tight date early even if the stops are still moving; we can hold the shape of the trip and refine it later.

What our dispatchers plan around in each Ontario city

Toronto

Airports: Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ); Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ).

Districts we route through: Entertainment District and King West, Distillery District, Queen West and Ossington, Yorkville, Liberty Village, Scarborough, Etobicoke and North York pickups.

  • • Downtown Toronto pickups often sit inside curb-restricted blocks; give us the exact building entrance and your chauffeur will confirm where a vehicle that size can legally stop.
  • • Gardiner Expressway and Don Valley Parkway closures are common on weekends; add buffer to any itinerary that crosses the core.
  • • Pearson (YYZ) commercial pickups follow terminal ground-transportation rules; confirm the meeting point and waiting-time policy in writing.
  • • Mississauga, Vaughan and Markham stops are often quoted as part of a Toronto trip, but mileage and time still count toward the total.

Windsor

Airports: Windsor International Airport (YQG); Detroit Metropolitan Airport (cross-border) (DTW).

Districts we route through: Downtown Windsor and Ouellette Avenue, Walkerville, Riverside and the Detroit River waterfront, Essex County wineries (Kingsville, Harrow, Amherstburg), Tecumseh and LaSalle pickups.

  • • Cross-border trips to Detroit require every passenger to carry valid travel documents; commercial vehicles face separate inspection and paperwork. Tell us at the request stage if the itinerary crosses, so the right vehicle and the border time are built into the quote.
  • • Essex County wine-country loops are a common multi-stop request; sequence tasting-room appointments with driving time between Kingsville, Harrow and Amherstburg.
  • • Caesars Windsor and downtown venues have designated coach and limousine loading zones; ask the venue for the current loading instructions.
  • • Winter lake-effect weather can slow County Road routes; leave buffer for December to March trips.

Ontario questions

Our vehicles, currency, alcohol rules and the cities we cover.

Does Party Bus Quotes operate its own vehicles in Ontario?

Yes. We hold and run our own vehicles here, licensed under Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR), and our chauffeurs drive them. The operating entity and its permit number appear on your written agreement.

Which currency and taxes apply to Ontario quotes?

We quote in CAD with applicable taxes itemized separately from the base rate and gratuity. Do not convert a figure seen elsewhere on this site — US pricing factors do not transfer to Ontario.

What is the legal drinking age in Ontario?

19. Whether alcohol may be consumed on board depends on our licence here and on our written policy, both of which differ from US practice — ask for the policy before the group plans around it.

Which Ontario cities do you serve?

Toronto, Windsor. Each has its own page with the local airports, routes and districts our drivers work.
