What the Noise & Curfew Checker computes, and what it cannot

What it computes

Choose a state and city from the list (California, New York, Texas, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, Tennessee and Georgia, with their major cities) and the checker shows the typical quiet hours and curfew guidance for that place, along with practical tips for keeping an event on a bus compliant: where to keep the volume down, when the party moves inside, how late residential pickups should run.

When to use it

Use it while you are planning the route, especially the pickup, the drop-off and any stop in a residential street late at night. A bus with the sound system up outside a house at one in the morning is the fastest way to end a night early, and knowing the local quiet hours lets you put the loud part of the evening where it belongs.

What it cannot tell you

The data is a general guide, not a legal reference, and it covers a limited list of cities. It cannot tell you the ordinance for a city that is not listed or the latest amendment in one that is; check the city government's own site for that. Our chauffeur will ask for the volume to come down on residential legs regardless, because a complaint at a pickup ends the night for everyone.

When the tool has done its part, call us at 844-725-4257 or send the itinerary and we name the bus, the itemized total and the written terms.

Noise & Curfew Checker questions

What people ask about this tool and the decision behind it.

Are party buses subject to noise ordinances?

Yes, a vehicle on a public street is covered like anything else, and the complaint usually comes at a pickup or drop-off in a residential area. Keep the volume down for those legs and put the loud part of the night between venues.

What if my city is not in the checker?

Look up the municipal code on the city's own website, or ask us: we run in the area and know where the late-night pickups cause trouble.

Does the chauffeur control the music volume?

At residential pickups and drop-offs the chauffeur will ask for it down, because that is where complaints come from. Between venues the group runs the sound system.
