Hourly vs Mileage Quote Comparator

Pricing models are not directly comparable until they use the same time, mileage and included charges. Enter figures from real written quotes to compare the arithmetic. The lower calculated subtotal is not automatically the better contract; vehicle, fees, terms and service scope still require review.

What the Hourly vs Mileage Quote Comparator computes, and what it cannot

What it computes

Type in the figures from two written quotes you already hold, one priced by the hour and one by the mile, including each quote's fees, and the comparator multiplies them out for the same trip: hours times hourly rate plus fees against miles times per-mile rate plus fees, then shows the difference between the two subtotals.

When to use it

Use it only when you have two real written quotes for the same itinerary. The arithmetic is simple; the value is in forcing both quotes onto the same hours, the same miles and the same list of included charges before you compare them, which is where most comparisons go wrong.

What it cannot tell you

The lower subtotal is not automatically the better contract. The comparator cannot see the vehicle, the overtime rate and increment, the minimum charge, the cancellation terms or the service scope behind each figure, and any of those can outweigh the difference it shows. We price by the itinerary and itemize the total, so you can run our figures through it directly.

When the tool has done its part, call us at 844-725-4257 or send the itinerary and we name the bus, the itemized total and the written terms.

Hourly vs Mileage Quote Comparator questions

What people ask about this tool and the decision behind it.

When does mileage pricing beat hourly pricing?

On long one-way transfers with little waiting, where the hours would be mostly idle. Hourly pricing suits multi-stop evenings where the vehicle stays with you. The tool shows the arithmetic for your specific trip.

What fees should I enter?

Everything the written quote adds to the base rate: fuel, gratuity if listed, tolls, tax and any minimum or booking charge. Leaving a fee off one side makes the comparison meaningless.

Can I compare your quote against another one with this tool?

Yes. Our quote itemizes the hours, rate and fees, so the figures transfer straight into the fields. Make sure the other quote is for the same hours, stops and date.
